About

Born in Sarajevo in 1976, I attended the Art Academy in Sarajevo during the siege. In 2002 I graduated from  the University of Illinois at Chicago with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies. From 2003-2005 I attended DePaul University’s Graduate School of Education. I live and work in Chicago with my husband and my two cats Smudge and Oliver. As a War survivor I write with a focus on memories and emotions, and my blog is intended to help others afflicted with PTSD to overcome and put into perspectives traumas shared by all survivors and participants of war.
